This hood  is 100% waterproof. It has clips and a peak to keep the sun off your face and can be attached to a Full Length Oilskin Coat or a 3/4 Oilskin Coat, making your jacket fully waterproof from you head down to the bottom of your jacket. The oilskin hood is designed to keep your head warm and dry.

Cleaning: Never use hot water, detergents, or washing machines. This will strip the waterproof oils from the fabric. Simply sponge down the exterior with cold water and a soft brush to remove dirt or mud.

Drying: Always hang to air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like heaters), which can dry out the oil prematurely.

Storage: Ensure the product is completely dry before folding or storing to prevent mold. Store in a cool, dry place or in a cotton pillow case.

Reproofing: If the fabric begins to look "dry" or water stops beading on the surface, apply OzWit Reproofer Spray to restore its weather-shielding properties.
